Dr. Mandadakis travelled to Cuba the week of February 14th, 2008. This was his annual trip to the beautiful Carribean country during which time he provided eyecare for children under the age of 14 in Havana. Dr. Mandadakis is the Director of Vision Services at the Convento de Belen Rehabilitation Centre in Old Havana.

           I would like to thank Mr. Mike Jones of Centennial Optical Lab in Toronto for his continued support of my work. He generously donated 200 brand new frames and lenses for the children. Thank you also to Mr. Nelson Aguila and all the staff at Belen, Consulate General Mr. Cardoso and my family for allowing me to take the time away.
